(I love this freeze frame - I think it captures me at my very best
)
On behalf of Robin Betters and myself, Phil Kay, welcome to JMP Academy!
What is JMP Academy and what are our goals? We should start with the JMP goals, which are...
- Spread the use and impact of JMP products far and wide within the science and engineering communities.
- Ensure that JMP is a great place to work and have a career.
We want you to feel excited about having joined JMP and to be excited about our mission and how your job aligns with that.
JMP Academy Goals:
- Our big goal for JMP Academy is to connect you with colleagues from around the world to support a successful and fulfilling career with JMP. We want you to come away with the start of a network of global friends that will continue to grow with your time at JMP.
- We also want you to be comfortable telling the world about JMP. Whether or not you are in sales, you are an ambassador for JMP. You should leave JMP Academy knowing about our messaging and even knowing a little bit about how we demo JMP.
- Finally, we want to give you some familiarity with our most important business operations - with the different JMP functions, roles, tools, and processes.
But, to be clear, JMP Academy is not sales training. And it is not onboarding for your specific role.
You will need to work together on some team exercises in JMP Academy. Please spend that time getting to know the other people on your team and don't work too hard! You are not being assessed.
We are excited that some of you will be with your class in-person. And I look forward to meeting some of you, although I'm not going to be in Cary this time. We know how difficult it is to interact in the hybrid world and across different time zones. We all need to find ways to make this work. We appreciate your effort.
We also recognise that English is not the first language for many of you. Our speakers will do their best to speak slowly and clearly and to make material available in writing as well. Please just let us know if you don't understand anything.
And with that... please enjoy JMP Academy!
The above freeze frame does indeed capture Phil at his best. I think this photo captures Robin in her most comfortable.
