You may be familiar with the concept of speed dating – meeting many individuals and getting to know them through quick conversations. But have you heard of speed JMPing?
You probably have not heard of speed JMPing because it is an original (and fun) event for people at JMP to get to know each other. We’ll use a custom spinner created in JMP (thanks to @stan_koprowski!) to select participants who will answer questions about themselves.
If you are selected by the spinner, you may be asked:
- Where do you live and what is your favorite thing to do in your city?
- What is the best present you ever received?
- What is your dream travel destination?
Join us Thursday, July 21, after the companywide update.
You will receive a meeting request, please accept it if you plan to come. If you cannot make it this time, there will be more bonding opportunities later this year in various time zones.
Jessica Horsch played with a few colleagues – here is how it went.
“I live close to Heidelberg and what I really like to do is walking in the forest with my dog,” @JessicaHorsch shared. “My dog is called Luis and he’s a Labrador with four years. And I really like to go up and down hills and see nature and the environment.”
What if you do not want to answer the question the spinner serves? That is OK, you have options. You may take a physical challenge or pass a question to someone else in attendance.
That is what happened to Ida Rahim the last time she played.
Strong burpee, @IdaRahim!
