Do we have good datasets for Fragrances industry?Hi,
A company gets complaints and feedback from their customers about skin irritations or decolorization. Then they have 5 days to find out what of the chemical groups are causing this effect.
Does anyone have experience in this field so we could have a chat to be better prepared on what questions and wordings to be used?
In addition do we have any data close to this which could be used to explore the data and do some EDA? I could use any but if we have some data they can feel familiar with would be better.
Thanks,
Martin
Re: Do we have good datasets for Fragrances industry?Hi @martindemel,
This seems similar to what @XanGregg was showing with his no-scent candle data on the Development session this morning. His was more about data clean up and workflow, but I could imagine using that data set to share insights with the customer.
Does the customer have any spectral or chromatographic data that they can use to classify or cluster by based on the irritation or discoloration? This data could then be used to determine where there are differences in the chemical make up of the fragrances.

Re: Do we have good datasets for Fragrances industry? Can I have a look at the data?
I thought about Chromatographic or Spectral information, too. But I do not have this information yet (was not in the prep call). Will try to find it out.
Re: Do we have good datasets for Fragrances industry?Hi Martin,
I've no direct experience of this in the F&F world, but have been involved in similar discussions for cosmetic ingredients - happy to have a chat through those workflows if it's useful
Re: Do we have good datasets for Fragrances industry? Thanks Stuart, will get in touch with you tomorrow.
Re: Do we have good datasets for Fragrances industry?Hi @martindemel,
I just saw your request to look at the data @XanGregg shared. Please reach out to Xan directly if you haven't already.
