Please increase the precision for R-square statistic, or allow the number of digits to be increased.
The current number of digits is 2. For analytical chemistry applications 3 or 4 digits are required.
for example, I need to reproduce graphs identical to those in graph pad prism

Bivariate has more precision on the R2, but it does not display it on the graph.
I just did an example in JMP 17 EA 8 and it showed 3 decimal places for the R2. I wonder if the format may depend on the data or if the calculated R2 has trailing zeros in the 3rd or 4th decimal place?
Try this:
dt=open("$sample_data/boston housing.jmp");
Graph Builder(

Show Control Panel( 0 ),
Variables( X( :radial ), Y( :distance ) ),

Points( X, Y, Legend( 3 ) ),
Line Of Fit( X, Y, Legend( 5 ), R²( 1 ) )

Graph Builder already shows 3 digits when there is no overlay and 2 when there is an overlay. Not sure why – maybe because overlay makes the label longer or increases the information density. It’s been that way for 10 years, so there’s probably a request already recorded if it’s a common complaint.
In any case, it’s a good idea to allow all of those in-graph stats to have customizable formatting.
