Jon Weisz' 04 January 2022 email addresses your travel questions:
As the world enters its third year dealing with Covid, many of you (Sales teams in particular) are wondering when and how we can travel again. JMP’s travel policy for 2022 will continue to be informed by current conditions (for each country), in terms of Covid transmission and the resulting effect on airlines.
For Sales Visits:
If a customer requests an in-person visit that doesn’t require flights and Sales teams are comfortable traveling, then once they have their manager’s approval, those visits can happen.
External and Internal Events:
We hope to start hosting in-person events later this year, including Discovery Summit Americas in Cary. We also hope that JMP staff can attend, and JMP can sponsor, third-party events, such as the Joint Statistical Meetings of the American Statistical Association. Final decisions for each event will be made a few months prior, depending upon local conditions.
Of course, everyone will need to remain flexible as situations change. While JMP has reaped the benefit of reduced travel costs, that’s not the driving force behind travel restrictions. The safety and health of JMP staff and JMP customers are – and will remain - paramount. We will continue to assess the situation and will adjust the travel policy as conditions allow.
