Easy JMP deployment for larger companies - MSI File, Installer package for Microsoft Windows

Hi all,

I have had some requests from larger customers who wants to centrally manage and deploy JMP licenses & JMP upgrades through an MSI file package. Often are these MSI programs provided from the software vendor.

Anyone else have these requests?

What is an MSI file?

MSI is an installer package file format used by Windows. Its name comes from the program’s original title, Microsoft Installer, which has since changed to Windows Installer. MSI files are used for installation, storage, and removal of programs. The files are contained in a package, which is used with the program’s client-side installer service, an exe file, to open and install the program.

Hey,

we actually have similar requests from companies in DACHT1 territory. Why is MSI important for our customers? = Safe time and IT ressources due to the easy distribution of JMP Client licenses.
