Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2021 internal communications survey.

General Responses

Some of you visit InsideSAS first when you open your browser, either for SAS news, quick links or because IT set it up as your default.

In an attempt to help you easily find information on InsideSAS, we've added new quick links to the InsideJMP home page:
- InsideSAS
- Concur
- Workday
- Café (Cary)
- Employee Inclusion Groups
- Employee Referral Job Listings
- Bulletin Board
Can’t remember how to make InsideJMP your homepage? Here’s a helpful article, as well as one on how to manage your notification settings (external post). By the way, in the next month, we'll have the ability to flag external posts on InsideJMP home, so that you know when you are leaving our intranet to view a post on the JMP User Community.
What are people looking for when they come to InsideJMP? The latest JMP news and links to internal resources top the list for most respondents.

Respondents say they are most interested in messages from leadership, product news, features about colleagues and their jobs, and resources for sales, customer enablement and marketing.
And when we create opportunities for JMPers to engage with each other, the top activities of choice include volunteering, happy hour, unstructured social time, a speaker series and mindfulness moments, as well as encouragement to participate in SAS’ employee inclusion groups.

The highlight of working for JMP? No surprise. It’s YOU!

“Camaraderie. Autonomy to do my best work.”
“Great work-life balance.”
“Feeling like I make a difference at JMP and that JMP makes a difference in the world.”
“My team, we are like family. The product is fabulous and easy to sell, lots of creative and talented people, the constant upgrades to our product to make it better…”
“JMP employees care about other people, they care about the planet, they care about making things work better, and they care about getting great tools to scientists to support this planet and the people on it.”
“The people and the product - our colleagues are bright, enthusiastic, supportive, and interesting - and JMP is a fun product that helps make the world better and more interesting.”
And some lowlights? (Be honest, we all have them – it’s work, after all.)

Many of the comments referred to:
- Missing the camaraderie of being in an office or attending in-person meetings.
- Yearning for more professional development opportunities (to be addressed by the professional development workstream convening in 2022).
- Frustrations navigating SAS (which may change as we become a subsidiary).
- And at least one person wishes to bring their dog to the office!
If you’re so inclined, please tell others that JMP is a great place to work. We have lots of open positions to join our team.

Again, thank you for sharing your feedback, helping us to make internal communication at JMP even better. If you have questions, concerns or ideas, please don't hesitate to contact me.
