At the Kagoshima tea market, the appearance and light blue of the rough tea to be bid are photographed with a digital camera for the purpose of improving the quality of the rough tea, and 7 items of appearance and 3 items of light blue obtained from the texture analysis and chromaticity analysis of the image. Numerical values are provided to each farmer via smartphones, etc., along with unit prices and images. This time, for the purpose of utilizing this information, we will introduce the trend of the characteristics of Ichibancha Aracha, which is the analysis of 1,221 image data in the jurisdiction of Hioki City by JMP.
As a result of the principal component analysis, the characteristics of rough tea could be explained by 71.5% with component 1 by appearance item and component 2 by light blue item. By fitting the model, the bid date and variety had the greatest effect on the fluctuation of the unit price of rough tea, and there were four factors including the appearance color (hue angle: h) and light blue color (h) of the rough tea item. I was able to explain 83% of the unit price fluctuations. The unit price in 2021 was high in all factories, and the residual between the predicted unit price of the model and the measured value suggested that there are factory characteristics that affect the unit price other than the model factors.
In 2021, the appearance color was in the range of 120 to 140, the light blue color increased by 100 or more, and the unit price was high. In addition, there are varieties whose unit price has increased and varieties whose unit price has been sluggish in three years, and the rough tea items to be improved can be identified by the unit price model for each variety, and the guidance points in picking and manufacturing are shown.
