Thanks for Bryan Yan for sharing this photo of him and his very tall son Jonathan.
"Tell me without telling me" is a social media challenge that's been trending for years, evidently, yet I just learned about it. Whether this is new to you or old news, keep reading, please.
For Mother's Day, we shared social media posts created in the theme of "tell me without telling me."
We plan to do this for Father's Day, too. We are resurfacing this article in hopes that more of you will share your images and ideas.
First, I'll explain the concept of "telling without telling:" it's about getting an idea across with images and/or words that illustrate an idea without explicitly using those words. Examples...
- Imagine someone said to me, "Tell me without telling me that your dogs rule the house." To answer that challenge, I might share a couple photos of my dog taking over or a video of my dog stealing food from my plate. See the image at the bottom of the story.
- Someone might say, "Tell me you love dragons without telling me." I'd show them photos of dragons in my yard -- like in this photo.
- Learn more about the idea of "tell me without telling me" at this external web page.
Now, I'll explain what we're looking for: How would you tell someone (without telling them) that you're a JMP dad or father figure?
When we say JMP mom or JMP dad, we mean that JMP staffers who nurture and care for others -- that's all of us! We can be as inclusive and this team wants -- no need to limit ourselves to the traditional definitions.
Put your words, images and/or videos in the comments below. All ideas are welcome. We'll use some of the entries on social media on or around Father's Day (June 19).
Have fun and get creative!!!
Please note that by uploading your ideas, images, videos, etc. we have your permission to use them for external JMP promotions around Mother's Day and Father's Day. Thank you!
This is how I could "tell without telling" about my dog being the boss.
