This morning, as part of the larger sales training series, the product management team held a JMP Live training for the sales teams. After two and a half years, JMP Live has proven to be a great way to drive conversations, highlight the value of JMP, and enable teams/users to share the value of their work within accounts.
If you were not able to attend the session, please make sure to check out the recording here, as well as the write up from the session that highlights some of the key takeaways. Additionally, Mary Loveless’ team did a fantastic job of sharing 5 min examples of JMP Live demos. Each person from her team had their own approach/flavor, but all were effective in communicating the high-level value of JMP Live.
Things that were shared in the chat:
- Using JMP Live to enhance internal stats training and JMP education resources is something that ought to resonate with many JMP Live prospects.
- Using JMP Live as a tool for Analytics Culture was the needs we covered to sale it at Lafarge in France.
- A JMP Live roadshow lead by the customer with lightning talks.
- Empower Engineer to easily perform statistical functions.
- Bridging the gaps between groups with JMP Live.
- Every goal user will have JMP Live by 2022's year end.
- Show JMP, Sell JMP.
- Having pressure from management for continuous updates on PK analyses on a regular basis. Lots of firedrills.
- Hours of Excel and PPT wasn't working.
- Bring in a JMP partner. This falls into a Fast/Good/Cheap -- pick two. We can host. Partners can help.
- JSL Customization partners are useful to leverage for automation of publishing of JMP Live reports.
- Use analytic workflow to have business discussion rather than product discussion. Key business metrics. JMP Live is the output of this discussion.
- Presenting the workflow did bring us some new JMP Live interest!
- Move the conversation up to the executive level. Getting there with the use of JMP Live.
- What are execs looking at? What are we producing? Day to day KPIs.
- Bringing JMP analytics to manufacturing and production.
- Cultural issues with sharing data from R&D can be a barrier? We need top-down and bottom-up support.
- Good alignment with JMP Live success and the steps on jmp.com/advocate.
- Getting more questions about JMP vs. JMP Live. JMP Live demos == JMP demos == upgrades. This is still a JMP Live win.
- Good conversation starter: Have you seen JMP Live?
- Key takeaways: 1) Show JMP Live, Sell JMP Live 2) Have a target and plan and execute it. Decide who you want to sell it to and do that. 3) Be bold and confident about what JMP Live can do. It's a valuable product. Easy for us to forget that the adoption of JMP transforms how our customers work. JMP Live is the next logical step for these customers to leverage their investment. Thanks Ashley Prince!
- Mark Zwald often LEADS with JMP Live at the start of his demos. Showing the end results first. Seamless way to integrate JMP Live into his presentations.
- Share the installation instructions with your customers early and often. It's documented there, but it is a bit more complex than desktop software.
- We have issues with the perception of the "simple" install of JMP and JMP Pro with existing users.
