CV column script for a sub-selection of the table

Hello,

 

I'm trying to make a script that will allow me to get the CV between different data of the same sample.

I have 3 different samples, each with 7 repeats. I have to do the CV for the first 3 repetitions only, the others serving me for another stage.
How do I proceed? I am new to scripting. Here is what I did but 2 problems:
- only the first line of the column is filled

- I can't make the CV for certain rehearsals.

 Numeric,
 "Continuous",
 Format("Percent", 12, 2),
 Formula(Col Std Dev(:"Data", Sample) / Col Mean(:"Data", Sample))

Here is a rework of your JSL.  Very minor changes.  Make sure you scope references to columns using ":". Attached is a sample data table with some made up data

Names Default To Here( 1 );
Current Data Table() << New Column( "Sample CV",
 Numeric,
 "Continuous",
 Format( "Percent", 12, 2 ),
 Formula( Col Std Dev( :Data, :Sample ) / Col Mean( :Data, :Sample ) )
);

I have the sample CVs!

 

How can I do now to have the CV on a selection of lines for a sample? For example how can I do to have the CV only of the first 3 lines of a sample? 

I tried to include a data filter in my script but it shows me a selection window, it does not modify the data used to calculate the CV. Should I add an argument to my calculation?
