As a former geologist who has worked in academia and collaborated with industry partners, Sr. Systems Engineer Peter Polito has a unique perspective on how JMP can be a partner to the oil and gas industry.
“We need to transition to cleaner energy, there’s no denying that," says Peter.
"But we can’t flip a switch. It will take decades. The tendency is to say oil and gas is dirty, but there are few industries better positioned to help with that. If JMP can help organizations, for example, develop new tools to dive deeply into carbon capture, if these companies can green their industry, it would be a shame if we weren’t there to help.
“I’ve not met anyone in the industry who doesn’t want to do that. The boots on the ground want to make their organizations better. If we can partner with them, the innovations will come faster and will be more accurate.”
