DOE how to force a given combination?Hello everybody,
I use the Custom Design platform and I would like to include a specific combination in my design (which correspond to a "control", well-known combination of factor levels).
Is there a way to do that during the design creation phase or should I add it afterwards in the table (but in that case the design could be less balanced or less optimized...).
Thanks in advance for your inputs!
DOERe: DOE how to force a given combination?I'm the simple type...so I'd just add the treatment combination to the table as long as it doesn't exceed your budget for # of runs. If it does, well then the question is 'Which treatment combination do I eliminate?" Any way you do this you can still use the Evaluate Design Platform to compare performance measures.
Re: DOE how to force a given combination?I am even simpler than @P_Bartell.
I wonder about designing the experiment without the control runs, running the experiment with the control runs, and then analyzing the data in the following way. Exclude the control runs when fitting / selecting the best model. Predict the response for the control runs. Then use only the control runs in an equivalence test based on the prediction.
Re: DOE how to force a given combination?Works for me. Only issue I see is the original poster seems to suggest including only one control run.
