NXP Semiconductors Asia Pacific HackathonWhen NXP Semiconductors, one of the world's leading automotive semiconductor manufacturers and a JMP Premier Account customer, casually mentioned that they were organizing a Data Science Bootcamp in the Asia Pacific region, the JMP team sprang into action.

Sales SuccessRe: NXP Semiconductors Asia Pacific HackathonHi all, i don't know if there was a misunderstanding. Just to clarify, in the video MDR was mentioned. MDR stands for Material Deviation Review. NXP is using this name internally for reviewing materials that are out of specification.
Example: If 10 lots from Product A had an unusually low yield, the lots will be on HOLD. Before the lots can be released to production again, the Product Engineer will need to present their findings in the MDR Review Board that includes Product Engineering, Quality Team, Manufacturing Team to determine if the lots can be released to production.
Re: NXP Semiconductors Asia Pacific HackathonThis is awesome! Thanks @lkimhui @sabrinafong8 @Valerie_Nedbal for sharing this success activities with NXP. Such a great customers support plan executed!

Love this story! Great success and team effort! I always enjoyed being part of such a great and professional team! Miss you all....
Re: NXP Semiconductors Asia Pacific Hackathon MPU stands for Micro Processing Unit. Same meaning CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. These were called in the beginning of Integrated Circuit development history 1970~1980's.
Re: NXP Semiconductors Asia Pacific HackathonThank you @lkimhui @sabrinafong8 and @Valerie_Nedbal for sharing this success of the Global Premier Team with NXP, and all the work you each put into the success of the Hackathon. Great customer support!
Re: NXP Semiconductors Asia Pacific HackathonHa! Yes, I know about Mac Power users and MacSparky. There was also a separate processor for system management until recently, but I don't know its acronym. Thanks!.
Re: NXP Semiconductors Asia Pacific HackathonI think it means Mac Power Users (MPU), but some computers had a Memory Protection Unit (MPU) when they were first released, but I am not sure which acronym is being referenced here. Maybe the Memory Protection Unit if referring to early Macs.
I edited this because FPU (Floating Point Unit) was used as a math co-processor.
Re: NXP Semiconductors Asia Pacific HackathonWhat is MPU?
RE: NXP Semiconductors Asia Pacific HackathonThanks for sharing, @sabrinafong8, @lkimhui, @Valerie_Nedbal !
This is a great case study.
Re: NXP Semiconductors Asia Pacific HackathonIt is natural way NXP Semiconductors use JMP so much. About 10 years ago, they aquired Freescale Semiconductors. Freescale had used JMP around SPC and 6-sigma program from the version 1. Because they had made Macintosh's MPU which JMP was developed on. So, their Hackathon activity would be extended to world-wide.
