Online Public Courses From JMP EducationJMP Education will offer a series of virtual public courses over the next six months.
The courses will cover a broad range of topics at a great rate. Share these opportunities with customers that want to provide continuing education for their JMP users. Check the updated Education pages for more details – and return to them, as the offerings will continue to evolve.
The first course on the schedule is JMP: A Case Study Approach to Data Exploration, Feb. 28 – March 1, 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. ET.
What will each course entail?
- Instructor-led demos
- Hands-on practice
- Interaction via polls and quizzes
How much will each course cost?
Courses range from two to five half-day sessions at a cost of $100 per session.
How can you help get the word out?
If you’re presenting to customers, you may use the attached marketing slides.
Active on social media? Share one of the attached social tiles and point to jmp.com/training.
If you’re having a conversation with a customer or prospect, let them know about the schedule on the JMP Education pages.
What should I offer companies that prefer private education?
Companies that have shied away from public training due to confidentiality concerns may find that the online public courses offer privacy that in-person public courses could not. JMP Partners may provide private courses to companies that need it.
Here’s the complete list of courses – registration occurs through the Education pages on jmp.com. Class rosters will be loaded in Salesforce from the event registration system.

Public Courses for the remainder of 2022:
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationThanks @ruthhummel ! I offered the same suggestion for the promo code, so glad to see it was the best take. Guess we'll see what happens. Free is better than free-for-30-days, I'm sure our users will appreciate when the time comes.
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationHi @christianstopp, I see this advertisement for the 30 day trial of the SAS Learning Subscription: https://www.sas.com/en_us/training/programs/learning-subscription/trials/learning-subscription.html. It seems to be associated with the code FAESUB30DAY.
JMP Education is not offering any such discount direct from us. We are working on moving our eLearning courses to a new location where they can be accessed totally and permanently for free. Hopefully by the end of August we will have our first free options available. We are not offering any discounts in the meantime.
However, the confusing part is this: SAS Education still sells our eLearning. In fact, SAS is the only place you can currently access our "JMP Learning Subscription" (another name for the set of our eLearning courses). I do not know if that SAS Learning Subscription discount would work for the JMP Learning Subscription. It's possible.
To answer your questions:
No, this is not something "JMP Education" is offering, although it may be the case that the SAS discount will work on the JMP Learning Subscription product. The sale of the Learning Subscriptions is all controlled by SAS Education, not by JMP Education. I would not advise advertising this discount to JMP customers. Instead, I'd talk about how we plan to make the full JMP Learning Subscription set of courses totally free over the coming year, with the first free course(s) released at the end of the summer.
Yes, JMP customers must go through the SAS site to purchase the JMP Learning Subscription. That is currently the ONLY place they can get it. We have no intention of advertising this SAS promo anywhere on our JMP pages.
Thanks for asking!
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationSAS currently appears to still offer 30 days of free eLearning.
Is this something JMP Edu is still offering? Going through our web pages, I am not seeing an indication of the offer. However, in wandering through the SAS pages, I do still see JMP courses listed, so assume their promo would apply.
If JMP is still making the offer, do our customers have to go through the SAS web site to get the coupon applied? I see a Promo Code box in the SAS shopping cart once I've clicked through the JMP webpages and landed in SAS territory, but nothing where the offer is made or promo mentioned in our own.
Of course, if I've missed things, my apologies! .
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP Education@ruthhummel Fantastic thank you!
Regarding where else to put the info for the masses, the Edu FAQ page might need a face lift given all the changes (realizing that might be another undertaking in itself, but you asked
) and seems a good spot for it.
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationYes, @gail_massari thank you so much! We have had great success getting this offering licensed for several of our customers. What a great opportunity! @dara_hammond and @Elias_Pickrahn
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP Education@ruthhummel @Jeff_Perkinson @kathy_walker Ruth, Do our Steering Committee and Champions know about this licensing option?
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP Education@SarahySpringer @dara_hammond @Elias_Pickrahn I assume you know about the License for Materials?
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationHi @christianstopp, Yes! There is a Docusign agreement that can be sent to your customer. It is a non-negotiable agreement, for a free license to our course materials, that basically says the customer can download powerpoint lecture slides, pdf course notes (combining ppt slides and detailed text and how-to steps), and course data files for any JMP courses that we own. (There are a few courses, developed in the SAS Business Knowledge Series, that are not covered by this agreement.) The customer can use these materials for internal training, and they can adapt the materials, including by adding their own company-specific data examples, or by shortening or expanding sections of the courses, etc. They are restricted from applying our materials to teach other software. The list of courses available is copied below.
If you want to start this licensing process, send an email to Ericka Pirozzi in JMP Legal and let her know you would like to prepare the Course Materials Licensing Agreement for your customer. Send her the following info:
- Full company name (including organization type (LLC, Inc., etc.))
- Company address
- Signatory name
- Signatory address

JMP®: A Case Study Approach to Data Exploration
JMP®: Statistical Decisions Using ANOVA and Regression

Thanks for asking the question! If you can think of other places I can post this information to make sure sales teams are aware, please let me know.
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP Education@ruthhummel During a recent customer conversation about the public/private JSL courses, I was recalling something you shared about making the JMP course materials (free?) for our user sites to develop their own internal courses.
What's the best way for me to direct them to kick off this process if they are interested in pursuing it? Thanks in advance!
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationHI @PatrickGiuliano, they aren't available in an accessible location yet. We are still moving content around and creating organizational systems. If you need a specific resource, send an email to @monica_beals.
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationHi @ruthhummel , Would you mind sharing the link for the recordings from prior classes that we can access for internal only consumption? Or I am happy to reach you directly if you prefer. Cheers,
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationThanks @ruthhummel for the update. Just had a customer inquiry to this effect, interested in signing up but knows will miss a day. Having attended a number of the courses, I noticed attendees would often miss some/all of at least one class over the span of 4 days (myself included); thanks for the reminder that they can have the PDF content available.
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationHi @christianstopp , We are currently planning NOT to record the classes, but we will be listening closely to see if customers request this. There are still recordings in existence from previous classes that we can share internally, but we don't want to be sharing these publicly at this time. Currently, customers who miss a session of a public class could enroll in the SAS-sold JMP eLearning Subscription (for US$59/month) to catch up on the missed material for the courses that are offered publicly AND included in the eLearning Subscription. (A few public classes are not in this eLearning Subscription.) Enrolled public students also have access to the pdf Course Notes, which is a book that covers the same material. They can always go back and read the material that they missed.
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationWill the courses still offer video recordings afterwards for folks to watch if they are unable to attend one of the sessions?
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP Education@anspen - The DOE class in April is now available for registration. All the available classes are now ready for registration.
Please tell your customers to register!
thanks,
Ledi
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationThat is a great question Tim. We don't have a boilerplate document yet, and will need to create one.
The courses will be priced for each person as $200 per one day, or two half days. So a one day class is $200, and a two day class is $400.
The scripting class is five half days, so it is $500.
You can create a boilerplate quote for the customer - just use these prices for whichever courses they are interested in.
And we will work on a process to make this easier! We are also working on a process where they can express interest in a course being scheduled.
thank you!
Ledi
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationHello,
We have a customer interested in registering for the public classes online, but he needs to have a formal quote to share internally to get the registration approved for multiple people.
Do we have a boilerplate document that sales can fill in or should I just try to craft one from scratch?
Thanks,
Tim
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationI think event has to be in Cvent before a registration link can be added, but it should be pretty soon. Please ask your customer to check back
Also, we never stopped offering public courses, but if nobody registered they got cancelled. So we'd love to have everyone spread the word and hopefully get lots of registrants! They're also less expensive now than they were previously.
Re: Online Public Courses From JMP EducationI am glad we are back to offering public courses. I came across this because I had a customer ask about about a specific course - which drove me to the website and then I came here for more information. If it was not for the request, I would not have known about this. I think it would be helpful if an email was sent to the sales organization to inform them of this development.
I also noticed that the DOE class, scheduled for April 26, does not have a live registration link. Any idea when this will be added?
