Frequently, users need to import an SPSS (.sav) file. If that file contains a multi-response (MR) variable, it may lose information. Specifically, if one or more of the response categories were never selected in the data, then JMP will not retain that information. It will be as if the response category never existed. Wish List request: remove any .sav file MR definitions before importing to JMP -- this will bring them in a separate binary variables. Alternatively, bring the MR variable in such that it still "exists" (shows 0% incidence and results in its own binary variable if using "make indicator columns".
