What is it?
The JMP User Platform comprises a diverse group of volunteer JMP users who will complete monthly polls. This will ideally be a large group, greater than 1000 members, who will contribute their perspective on a variety of topics surrounding our software.
Recruitment of members can be conducted through a variety of channels including The JMP Newswire, inquiries into Technical Support, social media networks, and personal invitations from JMP Staff members. Participation is voluntary and members can opt-out at any time.
Purpose
The purpose of the JMP User Platform is to regularly acquire data on users’ interaction with the software in the hopes of enhancing our product offerings and services. This is not meant to be a sales tool, but rather a means of engaging users to provide quick feedback on specific topics which can be analyzed and referenced internally.
Delivery
Qualtrics will be used to deploy the polls approximately once a month and each poll should take 10 minutes or less to complete. Demographic information (e.g. gender, education, job title, industry) will also be collected for tabulation and longitudinal comparison. A campaign in Salesforce will be made to organize the membership roster.
Advisory Committee
An advisory committee will be constructed to provide perspective on the vision and execution of the JMP Users Platform. Members of the advisory committee will be of value towards:
- Understanding the current needs/pain points/curiosities of your respective teams regarding the user experience
- Providing insight into the topics of each poll
- Suggesting urgency/importance of poll topics in order to construct timelines for deployment
- Providing insight into the questions that should be asked in each poll
- Using your collective global perspective to ensure content is relevant to every region to minimize blind spots
- Identifying how the analysis/findings of the polls could better your own teams in both the short-term and long-term.
- Identifying a useful place(s) to store the analysis/findings for ease of access and distribution among various divisions
Where are we now?
From the 2021 User Survey, an initial pool of 3,000+ global JMP users have expressed interest in participating in the JMP User Platform. The advisory committee is in the process of being formed with plans to determine the topic of the first poll to be released by the end of February.
