Database Access when running JMP from Citrix<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Do we have database access restrictions when running JMP from Citrix? ST Micro are telling us that they can't access databases from JMP when running JMP from Citrix. Is this true? If so any workarounds please?
Thanks,
Malcolm
Re: Database Access when running JMP from CitrixThanks Jeff, we will set up a meeting to find out what is really going on.

Re: Database Access when running JMP from CitrixI'm not aware of any standard problem here.
The key piece of information to help solve this is the error condition they are running into? Is there error message? Does the ODBC driver not appear? Can they connect but not get any data? Exactly what is happening when they try?
Have they contacted Tech Support?

Re: Database Access when running JMP from CitrixHi Malcolm,
I'm not aware of any issues so far from my customers. The key things they should check are usually:
- Bitness match: if they were to connect to a database using an ODBC driver (64 bit JMP would require 64bit ODBC driver)
- Security issues. Sometimes not all people have access to the path to the database. Depending on the IT settings this might be an issue. Although this usually is not an issue as IT asks that as one of the first things settig up the connection to the db,
- Is the connection from the Citrix Server to the database stable running from another software?
If that's not the case I suggest to consult Support for further assistance.
