JMP users are making the world a better place through innovations that are saving lives and the planet
Chul-Hee Min, Korea Country Manager, and Meg Eberle, Customer Reference Manager, led us in an hour of customer storytelling with videos featuring salespeople who know the users best. Each story exemplified inspiring innovations that are making a difference. We also heard details about JMP’s integral role in these endeavors.
For example, “our users are inventing green energy technology, speeding diabetes therapies to market, and making conservation management decisions that will affect some of the Earth’s most fragile ecosystems,” said Meg.

JMP Carbon Footprint Project
The term carbon footprint is also known as a Greenhouse Gas Inventory.Jordan Hiller, Pacific Northwest SE, and Katie Stone, Experiential Marketing Strategist, shared a vision for reducing JMP’s carbon footprint and strengthening our commitment – as a company and as individuals – to the JMP Ecosystem Restoration Initiative known as Data for Green.
Our carbon footprint is how many greenhouse gases we emit, which contribute to global warming. This is formally known as a Greenhouse Gas Inventory. As a company, we’ll start by measuring our commutes in 2021.
Why are we doing this? “We want to be green, we want to reduce our impacts, and at JMP we are all about data-based decision making,” explained Jordan. “We’re going to collect data and we’re going to do a Pareto and figure out where to focus our activities to have the most impact.”
How can you help? Take the JMP employee commuting survey by Friday, Jan. 28.
With data in hand, we’ll set reduction targets and track progress over time, ultimately growing as a leader in sustainability.
Recap of World Cleanup Day 2021“Our vision for Data for Green is to focus our efforts around supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,” Katie added. “And we want to build Green Alliances in Analytics, which are partnerships with those in industry and research that support these areas.”
