Tesla is a great example of the power of adopting JMP across the enterprise and building a culture of analytics. JMP is used in nearly every engineering group for everything from vehicle design to manufacturing. This enables Tesla to make better cars and bring them to market faster, thus accelerating the world’s adoption of zero-emission electric vehicles.
“In 2020 alone, Tesla customers helped accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy by avoiding five million metric tons of C02 emissions,” says AE Nick Vacca. “That's a big deal and JMP can be proud of the massive role that it plays in Tesla's business.”
The Northwest T2 team has grown the user base from 70 users to 300 users in two years and recently closed a 90-day JMP Live evaluation for the cell manufacturing group. The team is confident this will lead to the deployment of JMP Live across the enterprise in Q2.
With JMP Live, Tesla will have a dynamic reporting solution for its large population of JMP users, many of whom were previously using JMP for analysis and Tableau for report sharing. JMP Live will help users stay in the JMP ecosystem from start to finish. In the long term, Tesla will partner with JMP to start compiling streams of real-time data in a cumulative manner and applying JMP statistical tools to show historical context.
