JMP Brand video transcript
Welcome to JMP.
You are now an important part of a brilliant team of people.
We create and sell statistical discovery software.
Our mission: To put JMP into the hands of as many scientists and engineers as possible.
Why? Because when they have an intuitive way to look at their data, they have more time to discover and innovate.
Whether you’re watching this from a home office or from one of our many beautiful corporate locations around the world…
…you may be wondering. How did we get here?
It was the 1970s at North Carolina State University. Dr. Goodnight and John Sall ran agricultural experiments on crops and cows.
They built a statistical analysis system to interpret the data. And that became the foundation for SAS.
Since the experiments were small, it’s been said that they may have over-engineered it.
But that’s the spirit that gave birth to this company.
We see the possibilities, and over-deliver.
It’s this spirit that drove John Sall to create JMP in 1989 to empower scientists and engineers to explore data visually, on their desktops.
Sall and his team made it easy and fun to learn from data – even without a statistics background.
Some of our customers are experts in high-tech manufacturing, some in pharmaceuticals. Some are experts in chemistry, some in consumer packaged goods.
But they all have something in common. They are curious and they have data.
We want them to have something else in common: A strong belief that they can come to conclusions about their data quickly and with confidence.
We serve our customers with best-in-class statistics. In turn, they serve the world with discovery, innovation, education and data for green initiatives.
That’s why we believe that great statistics software in the right hands can change the world.
And that’s why it’s our mission to spread the use and impact of JMP far and wide within the science and engineering communities.
That’s where you come in.
You are now a brand ambassador for JMP. Let me explain.
The formal act of branding started in the 18th century when cattle ranchers wanted to distinguish their products.
Happy customers recognized specific brands wherever they shopped.
Brands began to be associated with quality in the hearts and minds of customers.
To be a brand ambassador, you don’t know need to memorize our logo guidelines or color palette.
Though we do hope you know our tagline by now!
Brand is more than a logo and a tagline. A brand is a promise.
And as a brand ambassador for JMP, we ask you to help us fulfill our brand promise.
To educate and empower current and potential JMP users by being a smart, friendly source on statistics.
So don’t forget to always:
Share your passion for statistics in the service of science and engineering.
And
Encourage people to explore their data and discover the next insight.
It’s never been easier to publicly represent our corporate brand.
One of the most important things you can do to elevate our brand is to get active on social media.
Engage with our corporate channels.
Share helpful resources from your own accounts.
Inspire with stories about the role of statistics in solving some of the world’s biggest challenges.
We’re fortunate to have a great product that our customers love.
We thrive off caring for current customers and welcoming new ones into our community.
And we hire the best. You are our brand equity.
Thanks for being a JMP brand ambassador.
Hi @Macy_Shenxm ,
The video was not intended for sharing outside of JMP. I imagine you want to use it for recruiting? That would be nice.
I suggest that you talk with @J_Marquardt (Jessica) who created the video. I know that she is thinking about creating a new version because of the change to JMP Statistical Discovery LLC. Perhaps she can think about how you could have a video that you could use externally.
I hope that helps.
