Welcome to the JMP Development Update for December 10, 2021!
Important announcement: The jmprunners and Jenkins CI will remain turned on during the holiday week. However, daily JMP build, installer and unit test processes will be turned off, and JMP Live auto-deployment will also be disabled. The last set of nightly executable builds and installers for 2021 will be dated Thursday, December 23.
I hope that everyone will enjoy the holiday break, forget about work for a while, and come back refreshed! If you do push any holiday code, you should be notified if you break a build. However, please be aware that we have experienced SAS IT outages over past holiday breaks that have impacted Jenkins and other systems. If you note anything like this, please enter a ServiceNow ticket to report the issue.
I hope you all saw my email earlier in the week, but in case you missed the announcement, Trish O’Grady has been promoted to manager of the JMP R&D localization group. Congratulations, Trish! Localization developer Howard Chen and localization tester Angelita Nitti will report to Trish. Trish has been our longtime project manager and has been acting as team lead, and in her new role will continue to manage all aspects of L10N planning and execution for JMP’s many product releases and deliverables.
Just a reminder that JMP 17 EA5 feature pages need to be updated and feature videos need to be to Mia by EOD on Monday, December 13. The product management team is hoping to notify EA members that EA5 is available before they check out for the holidays…just in case some of them can’t resist playing with JMP 17 new features during the break! See the "EA Freeze to Blast" schedule for details.
**Mia also asked me to say a special thank you to development team members and technical staff who volunteered to participate in the Meet the Experts session at JMP Discovery Summit Japan next week. **
If you have new icon requests for JMP 17, please read this How-To Confluence page and follow the instructions to enter a new Story under the JMP 17 Icon Requests epic (JMP-1017). Please include the requested details and any example sketches you might have. Ryan Dewitt has kindly offered to assist with new icon requests for the time being.
Thanks to Tonya Mauldin for sharing this week’s details about Beta/Crash/Telemetry tracks with crashes selected.
