Hi @russ_wolfinger ,
I've had XGBoost for some time now and it's been working very smoothly until recently, and I'm not sure what's causing/caused the issue. Recently, when trying to model Nominal or Ordinal response columns, the XGBoost platform causes JMP to crash. It didn't before. I have tried with my own data as well as the sample data provided with the Add-in. For example, when trying to use the PressBanding file, and casting columns into their respective roles (as is done in the help documentation), and then click OK, JMP crashes.
Here is a screenshot of the setup for XGBoost:

And here's the crash window that pops up:

What's strange about all this is that it used to work for all data types. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the add-in?
I've sent the crash report to JMP, so maybe Tech Support can help diagnose the issue.
Any help getting things functioning again is much appreciated.
Thanks!,
DS
P.S. I'm running Windows 10 Enterprise, 64-bit and JMP Pro 16.0.0.
Hi @DiedrichSchmidt , The main algorithmic changes have happened in the JMP Pro code itself and not the add-in, although you could quickly try re-downloading and re-installing the latest add-in to see if that helps. To be specific, have you recently upgraded JMP Pro from version 15 to version 16? There were some bugs in XGBoost 16.0 that have been fixed in 16.1 and 16.2. Are you able to obtain a more recent version of JMP Pro? If not, the only option I am aware of would be to go back to using your previous version until you can get hands on the updates/fixes.
