Thanks for arranging this, @J_Marquardt Jessica. This makes sure people can choose what they like and is, in my opinion, a great benefit to them. Everything gets shipped to stores anyway when we shop in person, and the waste exists however we buy things.
Thanks for doing this @J_Marquardt! It was super easy!
Thanks so much for putting this together!!
Thank you for organizing and making it so easy!

Here’s an opportunity to brighten the holiday season for people in need.
The people at JMP have generous spirits. For the past decade, colleagues at headquarters have sponsored families through Wake County’s Holiday Cheer program.
We’ve provided clothing, beds, home goods and more to people in need. And this year, we’ll do it again. Everyone is welcome to participate – no matter where your desk is located! (If your team is doing a service project in your region, we’d love to hear about it. Post a comment with a photo below.)
Here’s what to do
- Please review the Amazon gift lists for the individuals and families listed below.
- Select the item(s) you’d like to provide.
- Important: When you check out, select the gift registrant’s address for shipment. (Otherwise, you’ll end up shipping a gift to yourself!) Another tip: If you are purchasing items for multiple individuals or families, it is most straightforward to do a separate transaction for each recipient to ensure you are shipping the right items to the right address.
Please order and ship gifts so they arrive by Friday, Dec. 17. Questions? Post a comment below or send a note to Jessica Marquardt.
Please help us provide holiday gifts for these people:
The Martinez Family
This family has the most open items on its wish list. If you’d like to contribute, this is a great place to start!
They still need:
- Shoes and clothes for a 2-year-old
- Jogger pants and a phone case for a 14-year-old
- Gift cards for groceries and household items
- Wrapping paper to make gift-opening magical for the kids!
- Jeans for an 18-year-old.
The Hylton Family
This family has a 13-year-old son, 5-year-old daughter and a baby due in January. A few items on their wish list remain, including:
- Paper products
- PS4 game controller
- Kids clothing
Sadie
Sadie is a 26-year-old woman living in a group home setting. She loves Scooby Doo, jewelry and lovely bath items.
David
David is an elderly gentleman in a nursing home. He’s hoping for some comfortable clothes, slide shoes and plenty of snacks.
William
All of William’s items have been purchased, and thank you to Amy Bullock (@amy_bullock) for finding a tent donation.
The gift lists include items that are very much needed and will be cherished and appreciated. Thank you in advance for brightening the holiday season for so many.
A quick note: We understand that online shopping is not environmentally friendly and that some people prefer not to shop through Amazon. Due to COVID restrictions, we cannot hand-deliver gifts – making shipping a necessity. If you aren’t interested in shopping at Amazon, please consider donating an electronic gift card for Wal-Mart or Target and forward it to Jessica Marquardt.
