An important load condition in the design of the fighter inlet duct structure is the inlet hammer shock condition. A large pressure hammer shock occurs due to a sudden decrease in the internal flow of the engine compressor. The traditional method for inlet hammer shock analysis, which is a compressive shock wave, uses a combination of extreme conditions (maximum velocity, sea level, low temperature atmosphere), but since the 1990s, papers suggesting an appropriate hammer shock design pressure through a stochastic method have been published. . With reference to this, this study approached the inlet hammer shock pressure probabilistically using the flight operation data of the Korean Air Force, and analyzed the hammer shock pressure for inlet design, which was reduced by about 30% compared to the traditional method.
