Office 2016 install triggered JMP files to open in a separate window

Question

Since installing Office 2016 on my computer, my JMP files have been opening in separate windows unless I open the file from an already open window. I do not like this, how do I get back to only having 1 JMP window (unless I want more than 1)?

and what jmp version(s) are running? help->about, for the different ways you start JMP.

I'm not sure I'm understanding the behavior you're describing. Since JMP 10, every JMP data table will open into it's own window.

Can you clarify exactly what's happening?

* What are the two (or more) ways that you're opening JMP files that result in different behaviors?
* Are you opening data tables or reports?
* Are you getting multiple Home windows with every JMP file that you open?
* Can you provide screen captures to show what's happening?

Try this:

Close JMP.

Go to a .jmp file and Rt Click on it

Select "Open With"

Select "Always Use this to open"

Then select the option that allows you to navigate to the jmp.exe file to be used to open the file.

If this does not solve the problem, you need to contact the JMP support staff.
