Re: Internal Communications Survey@jschroedl - Thank you for leaving this feedback. I'll make sure we look at comments that come in through this article, in addition to survey results.
Re: Internal Communications SurveyI agree with John.
Where is the Kudos button?
[Test: Can Aurora edit Bryan's post, if she is quick?]
Re: Internal Communications SurveyI can edit your comment with the LRT.
Re: Internal Communications SurveyYes, SAS/JMP employees are given quite a few permissions within the Community so as to not hinder engagement and content creation. It also comes with the understanding that we know how to be good citizens within the Community and respectful of others.
Re: Internal Communications SurveyLooking for the Kudos button, I saw a "hamburger" / "snowman" / "overflow" button, whatever you want to call it. The 3-dots button.
I clicked and found to my great surprise that I could edit @bryan_boone's post. I know this kind of behavior isn't what you're looking for when seeking feedback about communications, but I felt I should mention it.
The 3-dots button is only visible on posts for a short time, while the page is loading.
Re: Internal Communications SurveyI was not sure if the survey was the correct place for this comment so I'll leave it here.
I am uncomfortable with InsideJMP being part of community.jmp.com. We are mixing customer-facing forums and internal forums here and it could be a dangerous practice. I would not want to accidentally post something internal to a customer-visible location and it seems we've made that kind of easy to happen. Obviously, we need to be diligent but I'd rather the InsideJMP content were separate.
I also dislike having to login to community.jmp.com for internal pages even though it often remember me.
Could we move internal content to a URL like inside.jmp.com? -- sure would make it more memorable.
Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19How can we improve internal communications at JMP? And in what ways would you like to engage with colleagues? We want to hear from you.
Take this brief internal communications survey by Friday, Nov. 19.
We’ll share the results and how we plan to address your responses. (Your input will remain anonymous.)
Trust us, you’ll want to get to the end of this survey. You’ll have the chance to enter your name into a drawing for a lovely gift from Packed With Purpose, featuring items from organizations making a positive impact on the world.

Give us your feedback by Friday, Nov. 19
Feature StoryRe: Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19To echo jschroedl, I think it would be helpful if InsideJMP and community.jmp.com had separate subscription options. I would like to be notified immediately if a customer comments on something to which I'm subscribed. Also, I think it would be helpful to have separate subscriptions for social and business posts on InsideJMP.
Re: Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19Thanks, @bfricke and to everyone who has taken the survey.
Re: Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19Hi @bfricke , would you please clarify what you mean by separate subscriptions? Is that having the ability to receive an immediate notification for community.jmp.com vs. a daily digest for InsideJMP?
You do have the ability to subscribe to individual boards, e.g. Discussions, InsideJMP News, JMP Blogs, etc. You can subset that further by subscribing to labels within a board.
Notification Settings: An Overview provides an introduction to subscriptions in the Community. Appreciate the comments/thoughts.
Re: Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19For me, my settings are:

Where I wanted just one update for a new topic. However, I still get lots of updates after the initial post, where I'm not subscribed.
Re: Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19To clarify, the email setting for comments is applied globally across the community. I would really prefer to get InsideJMP content in a digest while still maintaining the ability to receive comments from the customer facing community immediately. Right now I either get a ton of emails from article comments on InsideJMP, or I potentially miss important customer comments when I fold it up into a digest.

Re: Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19For Notification Settings, I feel that the descriptions can be elaborated a bit more, or with some scenario-typed descriptions. I have tried to adjust some settings based on my best guess, but I don't think that I fully understand them, and have not got the desired results yet.
Re: Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19@Ryan_Gilmore, thank you for the link to the video that explains the various subscription options. Above, @MichaelGoff explains the idea of having the ability to specify different e-mail frequencies for InsideJMP vs community.jmp.com better than I did in my original post. I think it may also be helpful to differentiate the content in InsideJMP News. For example, Google News allows users to choose news based on categories like Business, Sports, Entertainment, etc. It looks like I have to subscribe or unsubscribe from all the content in InsideJMP News.
Re: Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19Thank you for the feedback @bfricke , @MichaelGoff , and @peng_liu . Let me do some research based on these comments then I'll provide more information when ready.
Re: Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19Any answer for my question? I assumed that the result of my selections would have been for me to get a new post once, unless I subscribed to it.
Re: Take the Internal Communications Survey by Nov. 19@bryan_boone , let me investigate yours as well. The setting applies to forums (i.e. discussions) only and not knowledge bases (i.e. a library). InsideJMP News is a library so you will receive a notification for each comment. The Discussions board where users ask questions is a forum so you should only receive notifications when a new topic is started. I'll do some testing to verify the behavior of the setting.
