So many ideas and so much enthusiasm! That’s what we got when we put out a call for suggestions for how we could improve our company. Thank you for sharing your ideas and passion for making JMP the best it can be. For reference, you can see the call for ideas and comments in this article .
Interested in taking a step toward finding solutions? Please attend a brainstorming session Thursday, Nov. 4, at 8:30 a.m. ET.
What to do:
- Think about which topic(s) you'd like to discuss (listed below).
- Ask your manager to forward the invite to you and provide your top three topics.
- Join us Nov. 4 with the same enthusiasm you brought to the open comment period.
The agenda:
8:30 a.m. ET – Introduction & Send to Breakouts
8:40 a.m. ET – Brainstorm in Breakouts
Each breakout room will be dedicated to one of the topics listed below, which are summaries of the ideas you put forth. Once you join the room, you will brainstorm with your colleagues.
9:30 a.m. ET – Group Sharing (5 minutes per group)
At the end of the breakout period, we’ll reconvene to hear a summary of each group’s discussion.
10:20 a.m. ET – Conclusion & Voting
After hearing from the groups, we’ll vote to identify the ideas that will have the greatest impact and potential to be executed within a year.

UX/UI
Ensure that the JMP interface serves our customers well and makes a good first impression.
Education
Remove barriers to education and certification.
Recruitment & Retention
Grow our workforce and maintain our reputation as a great place to work.
Working in a New World
Identify workplace best practices that will help employees excel – whether they are remote, hybrid or office workers.
Professional Development
Give our employees the opportunity to sharpen skills, learn new areas of the business, connect with fellow professionals and intentionally develop their careers.
External Collaborations
Find ways to harness our relationships with influencers, partners and thought leaders.
Data for Good
Make a difference in the world with JMP, support non-profits and build brand equity.
After the session, we’ll communicate insights generated and next steps. We hope to form multidisciplinary workstreams with diverse perspectives to address the top priorities.
This is a great opportunity to shape the future of JMP. And joining a workstream in 2022 is also a great opportunity for career development. You may decide to cross-train – learning about an area that is outside your day-to-day responsibilities – or gain leadership experience by taking on a project management role.
Some of the suggestions that came in are already in process so we will give an update on their status. For example, look for details on where JMP is with corporate subscriptions soon.

I just have to say that this was such a cool activity. Loved that so many people wanted to share ideas and be heard. Kudos to Robin for organizing this so well!
Anyone that is interested should definitely let their manager know and have them forward the email to them. This will allow them to RSVP directly to me with their top 3 choices. This is going to be an awesome opportunity to collaborate across the division/company.
