Notification Settings
Stay up-to-date on JMP information by subscribing to topics, articles, or categories you’re interested in. Simply click the Subscribe link in the utilities bar, or click the dropdown red triangle options button and select “subscribe.”
Categories, like the JMP Blogs, for example, can also be subscribed to by clicking the Subscribe to Category link in the utilities bar. This will open a popup that gives you the option of subscribing to ALL the boards in the category, or a PARTIAL subscription to some of the boards in the category, which you click to select or deselect.
Click Save, and your subscriptions are set up.
Do a quick refresh of the page to change the link text.
To change or cancel your subscription, click what is now the Edit Subscription link, and you’ll be able to again subscribe or unsubscribe to individual blogs, All of the blogs, or unsubscribe from all blogs in this category.
In the Learn JMP category, it’s a similar process, only with a Subscribe to Category in the upper right. You have the same options to choose ALL or PARTIAL, and save your changes.
Refresh the page to change the button text, and you can go through the same ALL/PARTIAL/UNSUBSCRIBE process as before.
You can also change your subscriptions in the notification and subscription settings.
To access your Notification Settings, click on your name and photo in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Select My Subscriptions.
This will take you to the My Settings page, with the Subscriptions & Notifications tab already selected.
Under the My Subscriptions, sub-tab, which should already be selected, you’ll see a list of all topics, events, categories, and other conversation styles that you’re subscribed to. The rest of the settings are fairly self-explanatory.
Check any subscriptions that you’d like to delete … use the red triangle dropdown to check or uncheck all, and, of course, when you’re ready, to delete the subscriptions. Confirm that you want to delete them. And your subscription is deleted.
Under Notification Settings, we’ve set the defaults to what we think you’ll find most useful, but please review the settings and customize them to your personal preferences.
Once you click on Notification Settings, you’ll be able to access and change these defaults if you like. In the “Notify me of New topics or articles posted in boards I subscribe to” section, we recommend that you use the default setting of “Immediately” so that you are notified as soon as possible when new topics or articles are posted. If that’s too many e-mails for you, set it to “Daily Digest” or “Weekly Digest” so that you’re still informed regularly of new posts in boards you subscribe to.
In the Email Format section, we recommend that you uncheck “Remove HTML from posts” so that you receive inline images and formatting, making it easier to read and understand.
The rest of the Email Format settings are also self-explanatory. Set them up as you prefer.
