Questions on Compare Data Tables : Images/Expression Columns and Relative Error

Hi all,

i had a question from a customer asking if images/Expression Columns can be compared in the Compare Data Tables. I have tried it and I don't think so. Also, i could not find how the relative error is being calculated in the Fuzzy comparison. Could any body help on that?

Hi Valerie, just saw this...

1) Yes, images/expressions can be compared

2) Relative error is computed as the magnitude of the cell difference, divided by the maximum magnitude of the cells’ values. For example, if a pair of cells contain the values 10 and -6, the relative error is 1.6, computed as below:

Relative error = abs(10 – (-6) ) / max( (abs(10), abs(-6) )

= 16 / 10

= 1.6
