Histograms for the distribution of corona infections have been enriching our daily viewing habits for a year. Time to think about a few basic things. Most of the displays of histograms are similar to the displays on television; all bars have the same width. However, this is only a special case of this distribution view, for which there are, however, good reasons. Histograms are always an equal-area representation of the frequencies of an area, which requires a closer look if the basis of the bars is different. Follow me with a brief look at histograms including - of course - the idea of an add-in that enables the creation of histograms with different bar widths.
