Congratulations to our very own Distinguished Research Fellow, Dr. Bradley Jones (@bradleyjones), for winning a distinguished honor: the 2021 William G. Hunter Award, given by the Statistics Division of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
“Of course, we know Brad as a real pioneer in design of experiments and the head of our DOE group and a long career of inventions,” John Sall (@John_Sall) explained at today’s development meeting.
“He pretty much invented the modern era of design of experiments, beginning with Bayesian optimal designs, and then all the research into split-plot designs with Peter Goos. And more recently the alias optimal, which led to the definitive screening design and the group orthogonal supersaturated designs (GO-SSDs) that are a recent addition.”
