Documentation on Weighting in Nonlinear PlatformI have a customer that is writing up a GMP validation protocol on an analysis where Weighting is used in the Nonlinear platform. He needs to document the formula for how weighting is applied. He is confident that he is getting the correct result as he has verified with another tool he just would like help with the formula and neither of us could find it in the documentation or on the community. The response is a mean and he is weighting by 1/sqrt(SD).

Re: Documentation on Weighting in Nonlinear PlatformThanks for your post @andreacoombs1. For items like this, it's probably best to submit (or ask the customer to submit) to tech support (support@jmp.com). They'll share available information/references, and/or create a Jira for the doc team if needed.
Re: Documentation on Weighting in Nonlinear PlatformThanks @mia_stephens . Was following the protocol that Ryan Gilmore recently posted. I will go to Tech Support next.
Re: Documentation on Weighting in Nonlinear PlatformAndrea,
I had a customer asking about the weighted NLN in JMP. Specifically, his question was about the nonlinear least squares. Below is a screen shot of my message (it might not be detailed enough but I wanted to share it with you):

When a loss function is used JMP uses the Newton-Raphson algorithm, please see https://www.jmp.com/support/help/en/16.1/#page/jmp/how-custom-loss-functions-work.shtml#ww289310 )
Re: Documentation on Weighting in Nonlinear PlatformThanks @jiancao - Where did you get the information in the screenshot? from documentation or tech support?
Re: Documentation on Weighting in Nonlinear PlatformThis was my reply to the user using WORD (for typing equations and functions). I learned that in school :-).
