Our mid-year meetings are a time to reflect on and celebrate a successful first half. The meetings – held in each JMP region – also prompt us to renew our focus on goals for the remainder of 2021.
Attendees at all meetings reviewed business and successes from H1, reported on team activities, learned best practices from sales case studies and brushed up on product details with the experts.
APXJ highlights
APXJ teams, led by Vice President of Sales Bryan Yan, met in three separate tracks: Greater China; SE Asia + Australia + New Zealand; and Korea.
Gina Xie“It gives us the opportunity to lift ourselves out of the daily work and consider whether we are on the right track or if we have lost ourselves in too many details,” says Gina Xie, Marketing Manager for APXJ. “It gives us more clear direction and idea of what we should do in the second half of the year.”
ChulHee gave everyone on his team the book, The Greatest Salesman in the World.
Korea’s JMP Country Manger ChulHee Min encouraged his team to stay healthy, overachieve on annual NSR and TSR targets, have a successful Discovery Summit Korea, and prepare to build the team and JMP user base in the coming year.
Japan highlights
JMP Japan’s mid-year meetings were held on Monday, July 5. During the day-long virtual meeting, both the Sales and Marketing teams shared results from a successful first half and outlined plans for the remainder of 2021. Marketing Manager Atsuko Iono and other members of the marketing team held a follow-up call to review details around lead generation (up almost 10% over H1 2020) and results from ad campaigns on Google and Yahoo.
Europe highlights
Todd Hoffman's H1 summaryEuropean sales and marketing teams held a Q3 kickoff meeting and will convene for an H2 kickoff in September. Sr. Director for EMEA Sales & Marketing Todd Hoffman congratulated the teams for reaching 60% of the yearly goal by the end of H1. He also noted that 50 new university courses adopted JMP.
Sales teams took the time to share best practices for closing deals and making the most of JMP Days. For example, the Other Europe team moved biomedical company Medicem from one user to 21 new users. DACH T2 gained a new multi-entity contract with hair care company Wella, including 43 users in three countries. And with 21 sales opportunities from Statistically Speaking events, there are many more conversations to be had with prospective users.
Here is the recording of the EMEA mid-year meeting.

Dave ended the meetings the way he opened them – with remarks about the goals for the 2021 mid-year meetings, including to:
- Hear what is happening in other departments
- Share best practices honed to perfection
- Discuss what’s been easier and what’s been harder in our virtual world
- Ask: What will you change in H2 and 2022?
- Ask: How do you plan to resume face-to-face when the travel ban is lifted?
- Work by design, not by default
Here are the recordings of the Americas mid-year meetings. (If we gain access to other regional recordings, we’ll post those too. Stay tuned!)
