Importing Excel File with formulae

Hi all,

an MS Excel sheet that contains formulae columns can be correctly imported using the JMP-Excel-Addin, but not via Import-Wizzard.

Anybody know why this happens and how this can be solved? In JSL preferably

(left JMP table created with JMP-Excel-Addin, right JMP table via Import Wizzard)

My guess is that your issue is addressed by the change below, which just went in a few months ago into the 16.1 build of JMP. If this is still an issue with 16.1 please let me know.

Customers have long complained that if a cell contains a formula with an operator that SpreadsheetGear does not know how to evaluate, it will return REF# instead of a value. This is garbage as the evaluated numeric/string is lost.

After listening to another customer pain point on this I went back to SpreadsheetGear support. There is now a way to suppress formula evaluation and force SG to return the last cached, calculated value for the formula. This change uses that approach to avoid the formula garbage import.
