Hanwha Total (02 Feb 2021 – South Korea T2)
Hanwha Total, a global petrochemical company, recently upgraded its use of JMP by adding 10 new users (bringing its total to 100) and a server license for 10 users.
Hanwha has been using JMP since 2017 to strengthen its data analysis capabilities. Says JunWon Park, “Like most companies, the safety of its facilities and the quality of its products are very important for its continuous process, so Hanwha Total has been making good use of the PCA platform and Graph Builder in JMP for correlation analysis of various aspects.” As a result, the number of JMP users has increased across the company for the past three years, with upgrades with nearly every renewal.
In addition to the upgrades, Hanwha added a JMP server license this year to analyze data currently housed in a legacy system in a closed network. JunWo continues, “DaeYun Kim put a lot of effort into meeting the technical requirements. Our team is now proposing that Hanwha use JMP Live for its process monitoring platform.”

Lidea Seeds (04 Jun 2021 – France T1)
Lidea Seeds, one of the leading European seed companies in the international market, recently upgraded its JMP usage from 40 to 60 users.
Other seed companies have found two significant benefits in using JMP: sharing specific visualizations using the multivariate platform; and using DOE to provide customized and sustainable multicrop seed solutions.
However, Lidea was used to an old-fashioned methodology. Florence Kussener and Emmanuel Romeu worked hard to convince Lidea to consider another way. They decided JMP Discovery Summit would be the best way to do this, setting up a meeting for Lidea with Brian Corcoran in Copenhagen in 2019. Brian demonstrated how Lidea could link its database with JMP to reduce the time to visualization. Isabelle Swaenepoel says, “This year, we scheduled another meeting for them with Caleb King, who did a fantastic job defining new DOE methodologies to apply.”
Lidea’s results were almost immediate, leading to a quick upgrade in its usage. “And it is just the beginning. The numbers of users could double soon,” says Isabelle.
