Update from Database without creating the query newHi,
a customer has an Oracle DB and within more than 20 tables a data view will be created. This last some while (several minutes to 30 minutes). They access the data through a JMP query and this last some while due to the previous mentioned reason.
The important thing is they now want to get the most recent data for a data update and not all of the data. Is there a way to only get the most recent new data without creating the whole data set again?
The only thing I can think of is maybe a trigger providing date/time information as filter, but still this won't eliminate the new creation of the data view when update called from JMP script, does it?
Thanks or suggestions.
Re: Update from Database without creating the query newMaybe I've missed something, but isn't this more a question about SQL? If so, then see, for example.
Re: Update from Database without creating the query newHmm, maybe. But if you update the data in the JMP data table it will redo the quere, won't it? and therefore needs to create the underlying data view of those many tables and provide the last few entries to query into the JMP table. May I'm confusing things?
