I've been in discussion with local industry engineers/data scientists and collaborative team members @SAS JMP in the San Francisco Bay Area. @Potcner, @chuck_boiler, @mason, Dr. Charles Chen
As Californians' we are keenly aware of the Hispanic and Latino presence in our communities, schools, and places of work, and of the growing need for greater fluency in Spanish as well as English as taught commonly in our school systems today.
We are impressed and pleased with the utility of the JMP Statistical Thinking for Industrial Problem Solving (STIPS) Free Online Statistics Course currently available to all SAS profile holders (free to sign up and free to complete all available modules). The course itself offers a broad yet comprehensive and profoundly practical/ applied understanding of statistical tools in problem-solving in industrial applications (e.g. from finance to chemical manufacturing) taught through the lens of JMP.
But we'd like to see the course fully offered in Spanish! One small workaround is taking the course transcript and putting it into your favorite language translation engine (e.g. Google Translate). What we'd love to see is the course narrated in Spanish with subtitles over the current graphics/illustrations or these graphics/illustrations redone in the Spanish language.
