“I believe a lot of learning will happen under this roof today,” said John Sall, Co-founder and Executive Vice President of SAS, in a welcome video. Like he said, throughout the event day, the attendees did not only learn from JMP employees, but also learned from one another.
In an inspiring plenary talk by Dr. Luke Liu, Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer of Unisoc, China’s top 5G chip manufacturer, he introduced the engineering data analysis platform for advanced semiconductor manufacturing system, and how JMP could integrate into the platform and help quality improvement.
In the second plenary presentation, Alex Xu, SE Manager of JMP China, showed the newest capabilities in JMP and JMP Pro to an audience of scientists, engineers, researchers and academics.
In the afternoon, Discovery Summit attendees selected which breakout session to attend. Breakout paper presentations from high technology, manufacturing and life science, provide opportunities for JMP users to show off their applications of JMP products. The audience response was clear. People were inspired by the successes their peers are achieving with JMP.
When the conference broke for coffee and refreshments, small groups gathered around Ask the Experts stations where technical staff shared tips.
We love questions!We care the safety and health of our staff and clients. The event required pre-registration admission, and limited the maximum number of people. Everyone entering the conference hall was required to show green Shanghai health QR Code and test for normal body temperature. There was hand sanitizer and free mask distribution for people who needed it. As of now, the event reports zero case of illness.
Sharing ideas and stories will continue online from July 8 to 10. Some users can’t travel to attend the Shanghai special segment. And if all users could, we couldn’t host them all in-person. Therefore, we also offer an online Discovery option to JMP users. People who were unable to attend the in-person event could look for the online broadcast of select content.
