JSL to connect to Azure Postgres DBHi all,
A customer wants to connect JMP with Azure Postgres DB. Authentication works according to the flow diagram shown below. Does anybody know if this is possible with JMP?

Specifically, they asked whether
1. with JSL they could send commands and receive responses (token), and
2. whether JMP can then automatically establish the DB connection without an initial setup (the token will be the passcode).
Thanks,
Florian

Re: JSL to connect to Azure Postgres DBAfter reading the provided doc, it looks like the crux is OAuth2 authentication with Azure in order to get an access token you can then use as the password in the connection for Postgres. You can do OAuth2 authentication in JMP using JSL. There are a few examples in the Scripting Index and the one for Get Authorization Header uses an example for Microsoft. However, it will require work on the customer's part (any OAuth2 will) since they have to create and register a web app in Azure including a valid redirect url and scope which will give them a client id, client secret, etc, to use when authenticating to Azure and obtaining an access token. The access token would have to be made available like in Step 3 with something like JSL's Run Program
Alternatively, one could install the Azure CLI tool and implement the entire steps with Run Program.
Finally, I'd recommend using SQL Server on Azure with Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server. It has OAuth2 authentication and token manipulation handled natively by the driver.
