Like grass after a few good spring rains, the JMP User Community membership is growing fast! Last year, we surpassed 20,000 members; this year, we will celebrate our 30,000th community member. The question is, when?
Want to play along? We've gathered data for you (described below), now we want your best guesses. You can use any model you want to predict the day and time we'll reach this historic milestone.
Of course, there are awards! In fact, we'll award individuals who:
- Predict the day (this will likely be a group award).
- Predict the day and time - closest in absolute terms.
- Provide the best JMP Live supporting material - post your graphs, reports, and model to JMP Live for the judges to review.
To get started, open the data in JMP. Graph it. Analyze it. Publish it to Community 30K Users folder on JMP Live.

When you've think you've got your prediction locked in, submit it here.
Open to all JMP employees. One guess per person. We'll accept submissions until midnight on June 30, 2021.

A brief description of the data*,
- BulkData_View_2019_to_2021. Community Analytics data about page views in the Community from 2019 to 2021.
- BulkData_Visits_2018_to_2021. Community Analytics data about page visits in the Community from 2018 to 2021.
- BulkData_Publish_2017_to_2021. Community Analytics data about posts in the Community from 2017 to 2021.
- BulkData_Registration_2016_to_2021. Community Analytics data about user registrations in the Community from 2016 to 2021.
- UserData. All the information we can gather from the User API. Names, email addresses, and any other personal information has been removed. The data does contain the date the user registered in the Community. The table only contains fully registered members. Those members that abandoned the registration process are not included.
- JMPDays. A list of JMP Days since 2016 retrieved from Salesforce.
- Conferences. A list of JMP Conferences since 2016 retrieved from Salesforce.
- Community graphs on JMP Live.
