Interactive HTML (especially profilers) - what is and isn't supportedThere are a variety of limitations with Interactive HTML. In particular I'm writing about Profilers.
When saving a Fit Group report as Interactive HTML, the Profiler in Fit Group is not interactive. I wrote to Technical Support and they pointed out that if I CTRL-click on Profiler next to a response Red Triangle (rather than next to the Fit Group red triangle) that I can get interactive Profilers.
It would be nice if this was spelled out. Instead we just get a message in the Log saying "Embedded profilers in this platform are not interactive" which doesn't explain that the Interactive HTML doesn't like the Profiler in a Fit Group. The Log messages frequently don't explain to a lay-user what needs to change to make a feature work (or if it is simply not supported at all). Additionally, although I am a power user of JMP, many of our users at P&G are not, and do not know about the Log window and/or don't know how to read it.
Can we make improvements in this area? I know HTML5 is a gradual process and not among the top priorities, but to even get this "on the list" would be nice.

Re: Interactive HTML (especially profilers) - what is and isn't supportedThe profiler was introduced in JMP 12 with similar capabilities as the old Flash functionality, allowing you to explore cross sections of predicted responses across multiple factors. Since it produces the curves by evaluating a function as a JSL expression, code had to be written to evaluate a subset of JSL commands in JavaScript. So the first limitation is that only the implemented operations can be supported, and if a particular profiler contains any JSL command that hasn't been implemented it will be static.
In JMP 12, only the Fit Model Least Squares report would allow an interactive Profiler to be exported alongside the other interactive tables and charts (what we call an embedded Profiler). We chose that one because it was the most commonly used. In JMP 13 3 new platforms were included: Neural, Generalized Regression and Generalized Linear Model. In JMP 15, four additional platforms will be available: LogLinear Variance, Partition, Bootstrap Forest, and Boosted Trees. Adding additional platforms requires a platform to implement changes to export them, and we are attempting to address these in order they are requested and frequently used, so thank you for letting us know you'd like to see Fit Group.
One possible workaround is that if you have a profiler that says "Embedded profilers in this platform are not interactive" in the log, try to save the prediction formula from the model platform and open the profiler thru Graph -> Profiler; after selecting the prediction columns make sure to check the box for "Expand Intermediate Formulas". If it is a formula Interactive HTML can handle we just haven't gotten to the platform yet, this could allow you to share an interactive profiler (although not within the report as a whole).
