You'd never consider showing up at a customer site wearing a mask, right? (Though I'll admit that that question was more likely to get "no" for an answer before the pandemic.)
So, I'll ask you, why would have a username here in the JMP Community that hides who you really are? Maybe it's simply because you didn't know you could change your user name.
Well, you can. And it's easy. Just go to your Settings (click on your name in the upper right corner of this page) and you'll see the field to change your username.
So, if your name is
- hiding your identity
- confusing to read
- not properly capitalized
now is the time to fix it!
I'd suggest something like:
- First_Last
- FirstLast
- Iniital_Last
Though anything that makes it easier to identify you, both internally and externally, is good.
Here are some tips:
- Capitalization is preserved
- Hyphens are allowed
- Non-Roman alphabet characters are allowed, so colleagues in China, Korea, Japan and elsewhere can use the names their parents gave them though you might want to add the Roman alphabet version of your name there as well (ジェフ_JPerkinson is a good way to honor both).
