Add Parse Date as a New Formula Column optionIt is sometimes safer to parse dates using a new column instead of changing the value in-place using an input format. See discussion at Tricks to prevent incorrect input date formats from resulting in missing values?. Adding an option in the new formula column to parse that date using a format specified by the user would make this easier.

Not sure if you can do it directly with right-click New Formula column (don't have JMP16 on this PC to verify).
