"All column info" visibility similar to SPSS codebook. Essentially a documentation report. In SAS it would be similar to a PROC CONTENTS. In SPSS it is a Codebook – this write up gives a great example. It incorporates some summary information about each variable as well. In dealing with survey data with lots of additional column properties this type of documentation feature is extremely useful for data prep. www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/spss/faq/codebook.htm

Take a look at the latest version of the Table Attributes Add-In (version 1.4) I just posted. I added support for showing all column properties (including Value Lables) in the attribute table.
As you noticed, when importing from Excel, the Column Properties column is used for applying the column properties back in JMP. Would editing the column properties directly within the associated column (instead of the Column Properties column) be useful to you? If so, I can take a look at the feasibility at making this change in a future version.

Re: Documentation report- Show all column properties + simple distribution information-This addin looks to be very useful. When I use it to build a Table of attributes in JMP, it includes most key items. The one item that is missing that would be really useful for survey data would be value labels.
Also, I exported it into excel to see if I could modify attribute settings and then re-import with the modified settings. I assumed I could have modified the values in the rows, but this did not work. I did find that by working in the final Column Property excel column, I could modify the info that would be reported back into JMP during the import (SPSS Name and label). I will share this with a few power users but I believe if this could also capture value labels then this is what I was looking for. Thank you Jeff!
