Improved Column Switcher Utility Between Numeric and Character Data

I've noticed even in the Distribution platform that if I enable a Column Switcher between Numeric and Character columns, JMP is not a fan. When going from the Numeric to Character columns a big X appears and states "Column must be numeric. No data to analyze."

I would assume this can be fixed. I know that the type of output and desired statistics are of a mixed mode, but should be within the possibilities of JMP.

Also of note - if a column is Nominal but Continuous, JMP erroneously assesses the data as if it were Numeric.

Here is an example of how this looks with the Big Class data set. I used the Distribution platform for height, and added sex and weight as the Column Switcher columns. Height and weight work because it was initialized using continuous data, but you get an error for switching it to sex.

I think the code can just be written a little bit more robustly for this situation.
