I think the plan is to keep the virtual lab for STIPS at 15.1, and not upgrade as new versions are released.
This is correct. It was quite an undertaking to update STIPS from JMP 14 to 15.1 last winter, and that was when we only had the English version available at jmp.com/statisticalthinking.
There is a note in STIPS that the course and virtual lab are on 15.1, and that there might be a minor differences in keystrokes and output if students are using a different version.
We will revisit the need to update with JMP 17.
