Optoscribe Ltd (05 Jan 2021 – UK T2)
Optoscribe, which uses innovative laser direct write technology to manufacture 3D glass-based integrated photonic circuits for the telecommunications and data communications markets, recently acquired six JMP licenses.
The deal began in December 2020 when Optoscribe’s director of operations contacted the UK T2 team to find out more about how JMP could replace Excel for data analysis and visualization. Jaspreet Sandhu says, “After getting members of Optoscribe’s staff to download JMP, we then carried out a series of workshops to showcase JMP. They were impressed by JMP’s interactivity, visualization capabilities and ease of use. We also emphasized the resources that are available, including Getting Started with JMP, the JMP Community and STIPS. They were very impressed with the support they would receive and the support they had already received while using the trial version. JMP was the obvious choice for them, beating out Minitab. They purchased six licenses in January and are looking to expand further later this year.”

Phison Electronics Corporation (31 Dec 2020 – HMT T1)
Phison, a market leader in NAND Flash controllers and applications, recently added eight JMP licenses, bringing its total to 19.
Phison has been using JMP in its Product Department, which has helped the manufacturer significantly improve its data analysis process. Upon the recommendation of the Product Department, Wei-Der Lee, supervisor of the Advanced Product Process Department, requested the JMP trial version to see how JMP’s data visualization could help his team. He liked what he saw so he requested eight licenses to help his department’s staff automatically integrate the data from different databases via JMP Query Builder.
Orcas Chen says, “At present, they plan to position JMP to be the analytical engine of their engineering data analysis (EDA) system. By integrating data from different databases for automatic processes, users will be able to perform analyses directly. We plan to follow up to learn more about Phison’s plan for their EDA system development and to provide assistance to add more JMP licenses later this year.”
