Hi all,
I am hoping for some input and hints to this topic:)
A customer from the R&D of a Laser Welding company wants to accomplish the following:
A Journal or Add-In that "autocompletes a DoE.
Now this is not meant to be some wizard, taking decisions by itself or so. The situation is: Product development is conducting DoEs. Depending on their situation, they only need to consider a few factors into the DoE and take many others for granted because they cannot be changed. But for R&D, it is necessary to also capture some parameters that are not specifically mentioned in the DoE.
So the idea is:
Every experiment will capture the exact same parameters, even though only a few are actually changed in the DoE. The workflow could look like:
1. Select the situation of fixed parameter (e.g. Laser-Type, Material-Type)
2. Set up the actual DoE
3. Receive a data collection table for the DoE including the additional parameters that were already chosen to a fixed value.
After the experiment is finished the data will then be added to the R&D data of all experiments for general development/analysis purposes.
Has anybody ever done this? Any Ideas on how to accomplish this?
BEst regards,
Florian

Maybe it would be overkill, but you could make sure they know about CoBase from Predictum. FWIW, I did what you describe above for the 2010 ENBIS Challenge. I doubt that this code would be a great starting point given all the advances since then. But it's perfectly possible, maybe even simple depending on specifics.
