STDF and Apache ParquetHi
While promoting JMP16, I got some questions from several customer but it's not clear what I know, so I ask.
I remembered that STDF could be imported in JMP17. Is this right ?
Some customers are using Quickload-JMP - Spry Software plug-in to parse STDF.
And they are concerned that multi-threading is not supported.
Some customers asked that they hope JMP could import Apache Parquet data format.
I uploaded this in internal wish list
Apache Parquet Data - JMP User Community
If you have good idea import STDF and Apache Parquet data in current JMP(15 or 16 Version), please let me know.
Of course, including other kinds of binary data or Engineering data import.
Thanks
Ikju
Re: STDF and Apache ParquetParquet at least has a C++ library project. Of course it is geared for Linux and would take some work to see if it can function on Windows. But, at least there is hope of including it someday in JMP.

Re: STDF and Apache Parquet#UpVote
A power user at Samsung Semiconductor (in Austin, TX) has conveyed his need to be able to open Parquet files in JMP.
Re: STDF and Apache ParquetHi Ian,
STDF Data size is usually several gigabytes to tens of gigabytes, so I think Multi-threading support is needed.
Thanks
Re: STDF and Apache ParquetFor binary STDF files you can use this (paid) add-in from SprySoftware.
Ooops! I see you already mentioned this - Sorry.
I think this came along about the time of JMP 7, and I don't think it's version dependent. But, 'no' it's not multi threaded and I imagine that providing this would need work from Chris (the developer) and from us. If multi-threading is a a requirement, be sure to mention this in the internal wish list.
